Power Door Lock Test 24A - Automatic Door Lock Malfunction
NOTE:
Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Using scan tool, read auto door lock status. If scan tool displays AUTO DOOR LOCKS ARE ENABLED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display AUTO DOOR LOCKS ARE ENABLED, enable auto door locks using scan tool and retest system.
- Using scan tool, actuate door locks. If door locks do not operate, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1A . If door locks operate, go to next step.
- Ensure driver's door is closed. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays DRDOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to next step. If scan tool does not display DRDOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 2A .
- Ensure right front door is closed. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays RFDOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to next step. If scan tool does not display RFDOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 4A .
- Ensure left sliding door is closed. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LEFT SLIDING DOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to next step. If scan tool does not display LEFT SLIDING DOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 10A .
- Ensure right sliding door is closed. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays RIGHT SLIDING DOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to next step. If scan tool does not display RIGHT SLIDING DOOR AJAR: OPEN, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 6A .
- Ensure liftgate is closed. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LIFTGATE AJAR: OPEN, go to next step. If scan tool does not display LIFTGATE AJAR: OPEN, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 8A .
- Using scan tool read BCM monitors. Observe TP sensor while moving throttle. If TP sensor percentage does not increase while throttle is depressed, check for related PCM DTCs. See TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section. If TP sensor percentage does increase, go to next step.
- Lift and support vehicle. Start vehicle and place transmission in Drive. Using scan tool, read BCM monitors. Observe VSS reading while rotating drive wheels. If MPH increases as throttle is opened, turn ignition off. Circuit is currently functioning correctly. Retest system. If MPH does not increase, check for related PCM DTCs.
