Information Center Test 5A - Turn Signal Indicator Lights
NOTE:
Perform INFORMATION CENTER TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition on. Turn on each individual turn signal. If turn signal(s) is not working, see EXTERIOR LIGHTS wiring diagram under WIRING DIAGRAMS . If turn signals are operating correctly, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, read turn signal status. Turn on right turn signal. If scan tool does not display TURN SIGNAL status changing from OPEN to CLOSED, go to INFORMATION CENTER TEST 5B . If scan tool displays TURN SIGNAL status changing from OPEN to CLOSED, go to next step.
- Turn on left turn signal. If scan tool does not display TURN SIGNAL status changing from OPEN to CLOSED, go to INFORMATION CENTER TEST 5B . If scan tool displays TURN SIGNAL status changing from OPEN to CLOSED, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect information center connector. Remove ignition key. Turn off all lights and accessories. Close all doors. Go to next step.
- Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance at terminal No. 3 (Black wire) on information center connector. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step.
- Remove and inspect both information center turn signal bulbs. Replace as needed. Turn ignition on. Turn on right turn signal. Connect test light to terminal No. 4 (Brown/Red wire) on information center connector. If test light does not flash, repair open Brown/Red wire. If test light flashes, go to next step.
- Turn on left turn signal. Connect test light to information center terminal No. 2 (Dark Green/Red wire). If test light does not flash, repair open Dark Green/Red wire. If test light flashes, replace information center.
