Anti-Lock Brake System: Description

The Teves Mark IV G Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) prevents wheel lock-up during heavy braking conditions, allowing driver to maintain vehicle directional stability. System components include ABS fluid accumulators, ABS relays and fuses, Amber ABS warning light, Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB), Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU), inlet valves and solenoids, outlet valves and solenoids, proportioning valves, pump/motor assembly, pump/motor relay, Red BRAKE warning light, system relay, warning light diode, and wheel speed sensors.
