Power Door Lock Test 27B - Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 27A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see appropriate sections in this article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: After repairing Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system, transmitters may have to be reprogrammed. See appropriate KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM - REMOTE article.

Connect jumper wire between RKE module connector, terminal No. 5 (Gray/Black wire) and chassis ground. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) "A" connector. BCM is located with junction block. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance on terminal No. 37 (Gray/Black wire) of "A" connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Gray/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace RKE module.
