Test NTC-7A - Checking Map Sensor Calibration

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect a vacuum gauge to a manifold vacuum source. Start engine and operate at idle. If engine will not idle, maintain a constant RPM more than idle. Using DRB, read Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor vacuum.
  2. Compare DRB vacuum reading with vacuum gauge reading. If readings are not within one in. Hg of each other, replace MAP sensor. Perform TEST VER-2  . If readings are within one in. Hg of each other, MAP sensor is okay. Test is now complete.
