Distributor (3.9L & 5.2): Removal

  1. Disconnect distributor lead wire at wiring harness connector. Loosen distributor cap retaining screws. Lift off distributor cap.
  2. Rotate engine crankshaft toward TDC until distributor rotor is pointing toward alignment mark on distributor body. Remove distributor hold-down nut. Carefully lift distributor from engine.
