Proportioning Valves: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable, or ensure ignition switch is off and key is removed. Depress brake pedal at least 40 times to depressurize brake system. Proportioning valves are located on bottom and sides of hydraulic assembly. See Figure .
- Remove air intake ducts and air cleaner assembly. Remove brake tube and fitting from proportioning valve to be replaced. If necessary, remove pressure and return lines from hydraulic assembly to remove proportioning valve.
