Transmission Gear Selection

The P/N safety switch on the transmission housing provides an input to SBEC to indicate if transmission is in Park, Neutral or Drive. SBEC uses this input to determine necessary changes to idle speed, fuel injector pulse width and ignition timing advance. Also see PARK/NEUTRAL (P/N) SWITCH.
