Idle Position Switch (2.0L & 2.0L Turbo)

1. Loosen tension in throttle cable. Disconnect idle switch connector. See Fig 1 . Loosen lock nut on idle switch.
2. Turn idle switch counterclockwise until throttle valve fully closes. Connect a DVOM between idle switch terminal and ground. Turn idle switch clockwise until DVOM reads continuity.
3. Turn idle switch another 15/16 of a turn more from when DVOM read continuity. Hold idle switch while tightening idle switch lock nut. Adjust throttle cable, basic idle speed and throttle position sensor.
