Test 1B - Testing DRB-II

Although only the manufacturer can physically test DRB-II, the condition of DRB-II can be determined by using some simple situation techniques and process of elimination.

1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect DRB-II, adapter cable and cartridge.

2) Find a second vehicle w/identical equipment as original vehicle. Connect DRB-II assembly to second vehicle. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use DRB-II as on original vehicle.

3) If same condition occurs, DRB-II or adapter cable is defective. Replace as required. If same condition DOES NOT occur, problem is not DRB-II or adapter cable. Return to diagnostic test chart.
