Coolant Temperature Sensor (Cts) Test

With key off, disconnect wire connector from sensor. Connect ohmmeter between sensor terminals. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS. If ohmmeter readings are not within specification, replace CTS.

Temperature Resistance
200°F (93°C) 700-1000 ohms
70°F (21°C) 7000-13,000 ohms
