Automatic Idle Speed (AIS) Motor

AIS motor adjusts idle speed to compensate for engine load and ambient temperature. The AIS motor varies the amount of air by-pass through throttle body. SMEC uses coolant temperature, distance (speed) sensor, throttle position sensor, and various switch inputs to adjust AIS to obtain optimum idle conditions.
