Air Cleaner - Thermostatic: Operation

When ambient air temperature is less than 50°F (10°C), intake air flows from the exhaust manifold shroud. When operating temperature is reached, vacuum diaphragm shuts off and allows fresh air to enter intake system. When temperature is between minimum and maximum, air will flow through both circuits.
