Charge Temperature Switch (Cts)
The Charge Temperature Switch (CTS) is installed in intake manifold No. 8 runner on 5.9L V8 engines. When air/fuel temperature is less than 60°F (16°C), switch closes to prevent EGR timer and valve operation. When air/fuel temperature is greater than 60°F (16°C), switch opens to allow EGR timer and valve to operate. Do not tighten CTS to more than 60 INCH lbs. (7 N.m).
