Alternator - BOSCH: Description

The Chrysler Motors Bosch 75 and 90 amp alternators uses 12 silicon rectifiers housed in the end shield assembly to convert the AC current produced in the alternator into DC current.

The components of the alternator include a rotor, stator, capacitor, end shields, brushes, bearings and a pulley. An Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) is used to control the amount of current that passes through the alternator. The vehicle's electrical system will be limited by the voltage output generated in the alternator.
