Obtaining Fault Codes

  1. Connect Diagnostic Readout Tool (C-4805) to diagnostic connector located in engine compartment near passenger side strut tower.
  2. Start engine and cycle transmission selector. Also cycle A/C switch (if equipped). Turn engine off.
  3. Turn ignition on, off, on, off, on, within 5 seconds. Record all diagnostic codes displayed. Observe power loss light on instrument panel. Light should light for 3 seconds then go out.
