Alternator Regulator

Voltage regulation on 3.0L models is controlled by the Single Module Engine Controller (SMEC).

The 3.9L models use Chrysler Motors Electronic Voltage Regulator. Unit is nonadjustable. Ensure battery specific gravity is above 1.200 when checking regulated voltage.
