Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map)

The MAP sensor is a device that monitors manifold vacuum. The MAP sensor is connected to a vacuum nipple on the throttle body and electrically sends signals to SMEC. SMEC uses this data to determine engine load. This information is used with other data to determine the proper air/fuel mixture.
