Fuel Injector
The fuel injector is an electronic solenoid that receives voltage from the power module but is controlled by the logic module. The logic module determines when and for how long the injector should be energized by the power module. While electrical current is supplied to the injector, a spring loaded check ball is lifted from its seat. Fuel then flows through 6 spray orifices. Fuel deflecting off sharp edge of the injector nozzle forms a 45 degree cone shaped spray pattern before entering air stream. See Fig 1 . Fuel is supplied to injectors at constant 14.5 psi (1.0 kg cm2 ).
