Fuel Pump

An electric, positive-displacement, roller vane type fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. The fuel pump is an integral part of the fuel gauge sending unit. Shelby Turbo models use 2 fuel pumps, one inside the fuel tank and one outside. The fuel pump supplies fuel to the fuel regulator.

Power to the fuel pump is supplied by the power module via the Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay. Power module is supplied with an operating signal from the distributor. If this signal isn't received, the ASD relay is not activated and power to the fuel pump is cut off.
