Output Signal Chart-Step 2

  1. Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" position. Set check switch of ECI checker to "OFF" position. Disconnect White connectors from ECI checker. Connect Green connectors to ECI checker. See Figure .
  2. Perform checks according to appropriate ECI SYSTEM OUTPUT SIGNAL CHART-STEP 2 under OUTPUT SIGNAL CHARTS  .
  3. If checker shows any deviation from specifications, check sensor and related electrical wiring. Repair or replace if necessary. After repair or replacement, recheck with ECI checker to confirm repair has removed problem.
  4. Set ignition switch to "LOCK" position. Set check switch of ECI checker to "OFF" position. Remove connectors of ECI checker and harness connector from ECU and body side harness connectors.
  5. Ensure power supply to ECU is disconnected for at least 15 seconds. This will erase memory from ECU. Connect body side harness connectors to ECU. Perform road test to confirm trouble has been eliminated.
