CAUTION:
Make sure engine is not running during this test.
- Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Move speed control switch to "ON" position. Disconnect the 4 way connector to valve body. The female valve body main harness terminal with the Blue/Red wire should show 12 volts. If the Blue/Red wire does not show 12 volts, check for loose connections or replace the main harness.
- Connect a jumper wire between male and female terminal of the Blue/Red wire. The other 3 male valve body terminals should show 12 volts. If the terminals do not show 12 volts, replace the valve body.
- Disconnect hose from vacuum reservoir inlet (manifold) side. Connect vacuum pump to reservoir and apply 10 in. Hg of vacuum. With jumper wires, ground the male valve body terminals with Black, Brown/Red and White/Red wires. Each time a grounding connection is made an audible "CLICK" should be heard at valve body.
- When the last ground connection is made, there should be a full throttle condition for at least 1 minute. If there is not a "CLICK" or a full throttle condition, replace the valve body.
