Speed Control Switch

  1. Disconnect 4-wire connector at steering column. Connect a 12-volt power source to Yellow wire (Black wire on RWD) terminal in speed control harness connector (male).
  2. Connect a test lamp between connector Brown wire with Red tracer terminal (Yellow wire on RWD) and ground. Lamp should light when speed control switch is in "ON" position. Lamp should go out when "SPEED SET" button is depressed or when speed control switch is in "OFF" position.
  3. Move test lamp lead to connector dark Blue wire with White tracer (dark Blue wire on RWD). Lamp should light with switch in "ON" position, and go out when switch is moved to "OFF" position.
  4. Move test lamp lead to connector White wire with Red tracer (White wire on RWD). Lamp should not light with switch in "ON" position. Lamp should light when "SPEED SET" button is depressed and go out when button is released. Lamp should light when switch is in "RESUME" position and go out when switch is released.
