Negative Rectifier

NOTE: If negative rectifier shows shorted condition, unsolder stator from rectifier assembly and retest. It is possible that stator winding could be grounded to stator laminations or rectifier end shield which would indicate shorted negative rectifier.

Connect ohmmeter between negative heat sink and negative rectifier pin. Reverse leads and recheck. Resistance should be high in one direction and low in the other. If both measurements are high or both low, replace rectifier assembly.
