Checking Throttle Stop RPM

  1. All lights and accessories off. Connect tachometer to engine. Ground carburetor switch. Engine running normal operating temperature. Reconnect vacuum connector at EGR CVSCC valve. Reinstall PCV valve. Remove jumper wire from radiator fan and reconnect connector.
  2. Remove power feed wire to SIS or solenoid kicker from carburetor 6-wire connector. Tachometer should read 600 RPM or less. If so, testing is completed. If engine speed is greater than 600 RPM, adjust to specifications. Testing is completed.
