Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutches: Description

Clutch is a diaphragm spring, single disc type. On all gasoline Pickups, operation is mechanically controlled by cable. On diesel Pickups and Conquest, the clutch operation is controlled by a hydraulic release cylinder connected by a hydraulic line, to clutch master cylinder. Pedal connects to master cylinder by an adjustable rod. On all models, the clutch release bearing is permanently lubricated and sealed.
