Fuel Injection Mixer: Disassembly

  1. Clamp injection mixer in a vise with soft jaws (wood or brass). Disconnect rubber hose from fuel pressure regulator and mixing body.
  2. Remove injector holder tightening screws and remove retainer. Remove fuel pressure regulator from retainer.
  3. Remove pulsation damper cover from the retainer, and then take out spring and diaphragm. Pull off injectors from mixing body. DO NOT  clamp injector with pliers. Remove gaskets from injector body. See Fig 1 .

  4. Remove throttle return spring and damper spring. Remove connector bracket and ISC servo mounting bracket tightening bolts. Remove ISC servo and bracket.
    NOTE: DO NOT  remove ISC servo except when replacement is required.
  5. Remove 2 screws and remove mixing body and seal ring from throttle body. Remove throttle position sensor.
