Differential Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove differential drive gear bolts and remove drive gear. Using puller, adapter and extension, remove ball bearings. Using pin punch, drive pinion shaft lock pin outward from recessed end of pin.
  2. Remove pinion shaft, differential pinion and washer. Remove differential side gears and spacers. Keep spacers and gears separate and identified to ensure assembly in proper location.
