Intermittent Relay
- If wipers do not park properly during intermittent operation, or if wipers operate continuously when switch is in intermittent position, check voltage at terminal 3 of the relay to see if voltage oscillates from 0 to 12 volts. Voltage should be 12 volts when wipers are stopped and 0 volts when wipers are in motion. If not, replace relay.
- If wipers do not operate at all when switch is in intermittent position, connect positive terminal of a voltmeter to number 1 terminal of relay connector. Connect negative terminal of voltmeter to the terminal indicated in table. If voltages are not as indicated, replace relay.

- If wipers do not operate when washer switch is turned on, connect the positive lead of voltmeter to the number 1 terminal of the relay. Connect negative terminal of voltmeter to terminal 4. Twelve volts should be indicated. Connect negative terminal of voltmeter to terminal 5. Zero volts should be indicated. If not, replace relay.
- If wipers do not operate when washer switch is turned on, connect the positive lead of voltmeter to the number 3 terminal of the relay. There should be battery voltage for 0.6-1.5 seconds. Voltage should drop to zero while wipers operate, and return to 12 volts when wipers stop. If readings are not correct, replace relay.
