Control ELECTROVALVES Test: Operation

  1. Raise vehicle and support so wheels can be rotated. Turn ignition on. Wait until pump stops operating. Turn ignition off. Connect a jumper wire between ECU terminals No. 2 and 8.
    CAUTION: DO NOT energize electrovalves more than 60 seconds.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between ECU terminals No. 3 and 16, then terminals No. 3 and 35. Moderately depress brake pedal each time jumper wire is connected. Left front wheel should be locked. Turn ignition on. Left front wheel should be free. Turn ignition off.
  3. Connect jumper wire between ECU terminals No. 3 and 15, then terminals No. 3 and 34. Same results from left front wheel should exist for right front wheel during this test.
  4. Connect jumper wire between ECU terminals No. 3 and 17, then No. 3 and 33. Same results from left front wheel should exist for rear wheels. If system fails any of these tests, check continuity of wiring. If wiring is okay, replace hydraulic unit assembly and retest.
