Control ELECTROVALVES: Operation

  1. Raise vehicle and support so wheels can be rotated. Turn ignition on. Wait until pump stops operating. Turn ignition off. Connect a jumper wire between ECU terminals No. 2 and 8.
    CAUTION: DO NOT energize electrovalves more than 60 seconds.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between ECU terminal No. 3 and the following terminals: No. 16, 17, 33, 24 and 35, one at a time. Depress brake pedal each time jumper wire is connected. Left front wheel should be locked. Turn ignition on. Left front wheel should be free. Turn ignition off.
  3. Connect jumper wire between ECU terminal No. 3 and each of the following terminals: No. 15, 16, 17, 33 and 34, one at a time. Same results from left front wheel should exist for right front wheel during this test.
  4. Perform same test for rear wheels, connecting jumper wire between ECU terminal No. 3 and the following terminals: No. 17 and 33, one at a time. If system fails any of these tests, replace check continuity of wiring. If wiring is okay, replace electrovalve/master cylinder assembly and retest.
