Trouble Shooting
If the wastegate fails to open, it will create a high manifold pressure (up to 31 psi or 2.18 kg/cm2 ) at approximately 3500 RPM. This will cause the engine to misfire since compression pressure is now greater than injection pressure of 22 psi (1.5 kg/cm2 ).
If the wastegate valve fails to close, there will be a noticeable loss of power between 1000 and 2000 RPM.
