Preliminary Checks

The following systems and components must be in good condition and operating properly before beginning diagnosis of the fuel injection system.

• Battery connections and specific gravity
• Ignition system
• Emission control system
• Air intake system leakage
• Engine compression pressure
• Fuel supply system pressure and flow
• Fuel and vacuum lines
• Injection system component and sensor electrical connections
• Air filter
• Vacuum line, fuel hose and pipe connections
