Steering Column: Installation

First, make sure that steering wheel center spoke is straight down and that steering gear is in high point position (front wheels straight ahead). Carefully position column assembly in vehicle and loosely attach slide-off base to instrument panel. Secure mast jacket to front of dash, using a notched hex nut. Complete the tightening of slide-off base clamp and tighten steering mast clamp as required. Reconnect wires for directional signal switch and ignition switch. Reconnect battery.
