Checking For Hydraulic Pressure

- With the engine is stopped vacuum 0 in. Hg. (0 kPa), depress the break pedal with a force of 44 foot pounds (196 N.m), and the fluid pressure is 107 psi.
- Start the engine. Depress the brake pedal when the vacuum reaches 19.7 in. Hg. (66.7 kPa), depress the break pedal with a force of 44 foot pounds (196 N.m). The unit is operating, if the fluid pressure is, with ABS: 1,038 psi, without ABS (vehicle equipped with 16" wheel) 683 psi or without ABS (vehicle equipped with 15" wheel): 1,038 psi.
