Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM Vehicles Cautions & Notices.
  1. Install the lateral accelerometer sensor (1).
  2. Install the 2 lateral accelerometer sensor mounting screws (3). Tighten:  Tighten the 2 lateral accelerometer sensor mounting screws to 2.4 N.m (21 lb in).
  3. Connect the lateral accelerometer sensor electrical connector (2).
  4. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT - REAR in Seats.
  5. Perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ABS  .
