Scan Tool Data Definitions

ABS Reference Speed:  Displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The vehicle speed from the average of all four wheel speeds.

Ignition Voltage:  Displays 0-17 Volts. The level of the ignition voltage at the EBCM.

LF Wheel Speed:  Displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The actual speed of the left front wheel.

LR Wheel Speed:  Displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The actual speed of the left rear wheel.

MagnaSteer® Commanded Current:  Displays -3.3 to +3.3 amps. The amount of current that the EBCM is commanding to the variable effort steering actuator.

MagnaSteer® Failed:  Displays Yes or No. The failed status of the VES system. Indicates if the EBCM disabled VES due to a malfunction.

MagnaSteer® Feedback Current:  Displays 0-3.28 amps. The actual amount of current that the variable effort steering actuator is drawing from the EBCM. The scan tool displays the absolute value (i.e. positive value) of the feedback current.

MagnaSteer® Indicator/Message:  Displays Off or On. The status of the VES indicator or message (if equipped). Indicates if the indicator or message is currently ON.

RF Wheel Speed:  Displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The actual speed of the right front wheel.

RR Wheel Speed:  Displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The actual speed of the right rear wheel.

Switched System Battery Voltage:  Displays 0-17 Volts. The voltage available to the solenoid valves and pump motor when the system control relay is energized.
