DTC B1000: Control Module Malfunction: Testing

  1. Perform diagnostic system check for system in which customer concern is apparent. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. If DTC B1000 is current, go to next step. If DTC B1000 is a history DTC, go to DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  .
  3. Replace suspect control module. See appropriate removal and installation procedure under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  for module being replaced. After repair, system is okay.
