Circuit Description

Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) communicates with Body Control Module (BCM) through keyless entry serial data circuit. When any button on RKE transmitter is pressed, RKE transmitter sends a signal to RCDLR. RCDLR sends a lock, unlock, or panic alarm request to BCM, depending on which button is pressed on RKE transmitter. BCM receives message and performs appropriate function. BCM also uses keyless entry serial data circuit to communicate with RCDLR when programming transmitters.

DTC sets when Body Control Module (BCM) detects a short to voltage in Light Green wire between RCDLR and BCM. When DTC sets, RKE system will not operate.

A current DTC will clear when fault is no longer present and ignition switch is cycled. A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present. A scan tool may be used to clear history and current DTCs.
