Strut Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Assembly strut in Strut Compressor (J-34013-B) using Strut Compressor Lower Adapter (J-34013-971), Strut Compressor Upper Adapter (J-34013-972) and Damper Rod Clamp (J-34013-20) clamped onto strut shaft. Insert spring over strut, and move spring upright in strut compressor. Install upper locking pin.
  2. Insert Alignment Rod (J-34013-197) into strut to guide strut shaft. Turn compressor screw clockwise, while guiding alignment rod to center of strut shaft. Attach washer and strut mount nut. Remove holding fixture, and tighten nut to specification with Strut Rod Nut Socket (J-42991), while holding strut shaft with 45 Torx socket. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
