Method 2 - Scan Tool Required

The following procedure describes how to customize the remote unlock verification feature using the Tech 2(R), or equivalent scan tool. The procedure may also be accomplished by using an equivalent scan tool.

1. Connect scan tool to an applicable power source and Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. At APPLICATION Menu select "F5" (personalization).
3. At PERSONALIZATION Main Menu screen select the "F0" (set options).
4. At the SET OPTIONS Main Menu select "F2" (verify unlock mode).
5. After reading the Setting Options screen select DONE.
6. At the SET OPTIONS screen use the up and down arrow buttons to move the highlighter to the desired option (mode).
7. Select the ACTIVE OPTIONS then select the SAVE OPTIONS.
8. Press EXIT repeatedly until APPLICATION MENU screen is viewed.
9. Disconnect the scan tool from the accessory power port and the DLC.
10. Validate that the option (mode) selected was activated by operating that system.
