Functional Check

NOTE: Ensure ambient (outside) temperature is greater than 60°F (16°C) and engine is idling at operating temperature.
  1. With engine running, depress OFF button on A/C-heater control panel. The OFF LED will come on.
  2. Depress NORM button on A/C-heater control panel. The NORM LED will come on, A/C compressor will turn on, cool air will flow from instrument panel outlets and the blower motor will operate at high speed.
  3. Depress MAX button on A/C-heater control panel. The MAX LED will come on, cool air will flow from instrument panel outlets and the blower motor sound will change.
  4. Depress RECIRC button on A/C-heater control. The RECIRC LED will come on and cool air will continue to flow from instrument panel outlets.
  5. Depress FRONT button on A/C-heater control panel. Set temperature control to WARM position. The RECIRC LED will come on and warm air will flow from defroster outlets. A/C compressor will continue to operate.
  6. Depress VENT button on A/C-heater control panel. The VENT LED will come on and warm air will flow from instrument panel outlets. A/C compressor will turn off.
  7. Depress HTR button on A/C-heater control panel. The HTR LED will come on and warm air will flow from floor outlets.
  8. Depress BLEND button on A/C-heater control panel. The BLEND LED will come on and warm air will flow from floor outlets and defroster outlets.
  9. Depress OFF button on A/C-heater control panel. Blower motor will turn off.
  10. Depress HTR button on A/C-heater control panel. Blower motor will return to high speed operation.
  11. Move blower speed control switch from LOW to HIGH position. Blower speed will increase with position.
