DTC B2532: Front FOGLIGHT Relay Output Short To Ground/Open: Testing
- If body function controller (BFC) diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If body function controller (BFC) diagnostic system check has not been performed, go toBODY FUNCTION CONTROLLER (BFC) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Remove front foglight relay from right I/P junction block. Replace foglight relay with a known-good relay. Using scan tool, enable front foglight relay. If front foglights operate properly, go to step 10 . If front foglights do not operate properly, go to next step.
- Reinstall original foglight relay. Using DVOM, measure voltage by backprobing between right I/P junction block connector C1 terminal F3 (Dark Green/White wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage exists, go to step 5 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Replace right I/P junction block. After repairs, go to step 10 .
- Remove foglight relay. Disconnect BFC Gray 16-pin connector C1. Using DVOM, measure resistance between BFC connector C1 terminal A2 (Dark Green/White wire) and ground. If continuity is not indicated, go to step 7 . If continuity is indicated, go to next step.
- Repair short to ground in Dark Green/White wire between BFC and right I/P junction block. After repairs, go to step 10 .
- Install foglight relay. Using DVOM, measure resistance between BFC connector C1 terminal A2 (Dark Green/White wire) and right I/P junction block connector C1 terminal F3 (Dark Green/White wire). See Figure . If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 9 . If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
- Repair open in Dark Green/White wire between BFC and right I/P junction block. After repairs, go to step 10 .
- Replace BFC. See BODY FUNCTION CONTROLLER (BFC) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
- Reconnect all disconnected components and connectors. Clear DTCs. Perform BODY FUNCTION CONTROLLER (BFC) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
