Remote Keyless Entry
- Check 10-amp TRUNK REL/RFA fuse in left instrument panel electrical center.
- Verify ground point connections at left side of rear package shelf in trunk are clean and tight.
- Inspect terminal contact area before replacing any component.
- Attempt to use second transmitter, if available. If second transmitter works, change batteries in first transmitter and retry. Ensure battery is installed with positive side facing down. Transmitter terminals should be clean and make proper contact with battery. If battery condition is in doubt, replace batteries. Measuring battery voltage may give false readings. If transmitter still does not work, attempt reprogramming. See PROGRAMMING .
- Verify that remote control door lock receiver program connector terminals are not jumpered to ground.
- Verify Black/White wire of remote control door lock receiver program connector is not shorted to ground. Verify ground circuit is not open. Inspect for a broken or partially broken wire inside insulation. A broken wire inside insulation may cause system failure but prove good in a continuity/voltage test.
- Inspect for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment. Improper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment affects integrity of other electronic systems.
