Delayed Locking
The delayed locking feature allows the driver to delay the locking of the vehicle after the lock switch has been activated. Upon activating the lock switch with the driver's door open, a chime sounds in order to let the driver know that the delayed locking mode is engaged. After all of the doors have been closed for 5 seconds, the doors will lock automatically. If you open any door before the 5 seconds have elapsed, the timer will reset when all of the door are closed. You may program this feature ON or OFF for each transmitter. You must enable the delayed locking feature with the scan tool in order to have access to this feature. The RFA module software for the delayed locking feature is turned OFF on all new vehicles and service replacement parts.
