Delayed Locking

You must enable the delayed locking feature with the TECH 2(tm) scan tool to have access to this feature. The RFA module software for the delayed locking feature is turned off on all new vehicles and service replacement parts. Use the following procedure to perform initial activation of delayed locking:

1. Connect the TECH 2(tm) scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Select the vehicle being programmed.
3. Select BODY.
4. Select RFA.
5. Select RFA TEST.
6. Select SET OPTIONS.
7. Select OPTIONS 0. Follow the screen prompts and instructions. During step  8 , use the exit key to change from one function screen to another. Do not use the YES or NO keys. If YES or NO is pressed, the other features may become disabled.
8. Scroll through the screens until DELAYED LOCKING is displayed.
9. Select YES
10. Exit the system.
11. Disconnect the scan tool.
