Test No 9

  1. Perform BCM SYSTEM CHECK in BODY CONTROL MODULE article. Lower driver's window. Remove key from ignition. Close all doors. Press LOCK on remote transmitter. Wait 10 seconds. If security indicator is flashing slowly, go to next step. If security indicator is not flashing slowly, go to TEST NO 2  .
  2. Reach through door and unlock door. Open door. Alarm should sound. Attempt to start engine. If engine starts, problem is PCM related. See TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. If engine does not start, problem is not present at this time. Go to next step.
  3. Connect test light between sensor harness connector terminal "A" and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If test light illuminates, repair open or poor connection of Black wire between shock sensor terminal "C" and ground. If test light does not illuminate, repair open or poor connection of Orange wire between shock sensor terminal "A" and underhood junction block connector C2 terminal F7.
