Diagnostic Procedures
- If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, see procedures in BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Disconnect splice pack SP205 (located behind instrument panel, taped to harness, right of steering column). Using a test light connected to battery voltage, backprobe splice pack SP205 terminal "A" (Purple wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4).
- Repair short to ground in Purple wire between splice pack and DLC. After repairs, go to step 9).
- Using test light connected to battery voltage, backprobe splice pack terminal "M" (Light Green wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6).
- Disconnect BCM harness connector C2. Leave test light connected as indicated in step 4). Observe test light. If test light illuminates, go to step 7). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 8).
- Replace splice pack SP205. After replacing splice pack SP205, go to step 9).
- Repair short to ground in circuit No. 1037 (Light Green wire) between splice pack and BCM harness connector. After repairs, go to step 9).
- Replace BCM. Perform new BCM setup. See BCM PROGRAMMING . After programming BCM, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall connectors and components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. After clearing DTCs, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
