DTC B2747: Performance Shift Switch Circuit (Short To Ground Or Open): Testing

- If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM Pink 24-pin connector C2. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between BCM connector C2, terminal A11 (Dark Blue wire) and battery positive voltage. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 4 .
- With test light connected as in previous step, turn ignition off. Disconnect electronic traction control switch electrical connectors. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 6 .
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected connectors and components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Wait 5 minutes. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC B2747 resets, go to step 7 . If DTC B2747 does not reset, go to step 8 .
- Repair short to ground in Brown/White wire between electronic traction control switch and BCM connector C2. Go to step 9 .
- Replace electronic traction control switch. Go to step 9 .
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram BCM. See NEW BCM SETUP under PROGRAMMING. Go to step 9 .
- System is operating properly at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . After any repairs are made, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
