DTC B2960: Invalid Key Code Present: Testing

NOTE: If circuit is shorted to ground, fuse will blow. Check fuse before performing diagnostics.
  1. Perform THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Check for poor connection at BCM connector C2 terminals A6 (Black wire) and B6 (Yellow wire). See Figure . If poor connections are found, go to next step. If connections are okay, go to step  4 .
  3. Repair poor connections. After repairs, go to step  8 .
  4. Check for poor connections at Passlock(R) cylinder connector terminal "A" (Yellow wire). If poor connections are found, go to next step. If connections are okay, go to step  6 .
  5. Repair poor connection. After repairs, go to step  8 .
  6. Replace Passlock(R) sensor. See IGNITION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If repair is complete, go to step  8 . If repair is not complete, go to next step.
  7. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  8. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Go to THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
